It’s Not About the Money — It’s About the Beliefs Controlling It

You know that pit in your stomach when you open your banking app and you feel that tiny moment of dread before you see your current bank balance in your business?😬
You take a deep breath, whisper a quick prayer that it’s not worse than you think… and then promise yourself you’ll “figure it out” next week. Except next week never really feels any different.
Money has this way of taking up too much space in your mind especially when you’re doing work that’s supposed to light you up.
You started your wellness business to help people heal, to make a difference, to live freely and do what you love. But instead, you find yourself lying awake at night wondering how you’re going to pay down your credit card bill, or if investing in one more course will finally be the thing that turns it all around.
And underneath it all, there’s that steady hum of guilt — guilt for spending, guilt for relying on your spouse for financial support when you wanted to be able to do this on your own. Guilt for not making as much money as you hoped you would, and guilt for not “figuring it out” by now.
Here’s the truth: There is nothing wrong with you or your strategy
You have all the tools to run a successful wellness business, you have the drive, the discipline and the desire to reach your goals. You have a plan in place and you have implemented your strategy.
But yet your business is not moving forward in the way that you had hoped.
*Now might be time to evaluate your relationship to money.* 💰
The way you think, feel, and react around money was shaped long before you ever opened your business. By the time you were about eleven years old, your subconscious had already absorbed countless messages about what money means and who gets to have it.
As a child you may have heard things like: “Money doesn’t grow on trees”, We can’t afford that.” or “Rich people are greedy.” These types of statements helped formed beliefs like: Money is hard to get, there’s never enough, and wanting more is selfish or unrealistic.
Or you may have been brought up believing: “You have to work yourself to the bone to make it,” or “If you’re not working, you’re being lazy.” If these sound familiar then you may have internalized these messages to believe: To be worthy, I have to overwork. Money equals struggle.
If you feel shame, guilt or avoid the subject of money all together, you may have heard things like: “It’s rude to talk about money.” or The more you have, the more people want from you.” You likely have a belief that money is taboo, uncomfortable or dangerous to have.
And finally, you may have been taught to be a “good girl” around money. It is likely you heard things like: “It’s better to give then receive.” or “You should be grateful for what you have.” If this is familiar to you then you can probably relate to feeling that wanting more is wrong or having abundance means taking from someone else.
As children, we absorb every message about money like a sponge. We don’t just hear these phrases — we internalize them. They become the rules our subconscious follows long after we’re grown. So even as an adult running a wellness business, part of you might still believe that wanting more is greedy, that money only comes from hard work, or that it’s safer to stay small than risk judgment or failure.
These early money stories shape how you price your services, how you receive payment, and how comfortable you feel being seen as successful. Until those subconscious programs are rewritten, they’ll keep running quietly in the background — no matter how many strategies you try.
And without realizing it, those early beliefs quietly shape every financial decision you make as an adult especially in your wellness business.
Once you clear out those outdated beliefs, everything changes. You feel calmer, more confident, and more in control around money. You start making smart, aligned financial decisions with ease because your mind is open, and no longer cluttered with the constant distraction about money and finances. And the stress and guilt you’ve been carrying around about money finally starts to lift.
That’s exactly what we’re diving into today.
In this post, you’ll discover three strategies to shift your money blocks so you can finally feel at peace with your finances and grow your business with confidence.
When you begin to uncover and release the subconscious beliefs around money that are keeping you stuck, everything starts to shift — not just your bank balance, but your sense of peace, your confidence, and your ability to make decisions from a place of calm instead of fear.
Imagine feeling grounded when you check your finances or confidently investing in your growth without guilt. Finally coming to the understanding that money is simply a tool you can learn to use with ease and intention.
We are going to explore three powerful strategies to help you identify and clear your subconscious money blocks, so you can finally stop letting fear and scarcity run your business.
Let’s jump in…
Step 1. Get to the Root Cause of Your Feelings Around Money (Awareness)
In order to get to the root cause of how you really feel about money it is important to find out why money is causing you stress or anxiety and even avoid looking at your financial situation. (Notice I did not say lack of money? Even people with lots of money experience stress around it.) So here are some questions you can ask yourself to become aware of how your feelings around money could be affecting your businesses success:
- What did you learn about money growing up?
- Was it that there was never enough to go around?
- Were you taught that you have to work to exhaustion to earn money?
- Do you believe that wanting more money makes you greedy or ungrateful?
Imagine for a moment that money was simply a tool — no different from the yoga mat you use in your studio, the oils you use in your treatments, or the software you use to run your business. A tool that helps you create, serve, and expand your impact.
If money was just another tool in your business…
- Would it still make your stomach tighten when you think about it?
- Would you still feel guilty when you invest in your growth?
- Would you still hesitate to charge what your work is worth?
Probably not. That’s the shift subconscious work makes possible.
You stop viewing money through the lens of fear and start seeing it for what it truly is: a neutral, supportive resource or tool.
That’s why awareness is the first step in overcoming your fears or agitation around money . My favorite saying is appropriate here:
You can’t change what you don’t understand.
When you do this inner subconscious work, you stop feeling like money is running your business… and you start feeling like you are running your business.
Step 2. Clear the Emotional Weight Around Money
Once you’ve identified those old beliefs that you have carried around for decades about money, the next step is to clear the negative emotions attached to those beliefs that you formed around money.
As you begin to uncover the beliefs driving your money story, something powerful happens, emotions start to rise to the surface. These emotions are deeply embedded from our childhood and every time we avoid talking about money – so we can avoid that uncomfortable feeling we continue to bury the emotions that come with it.
You might feel waves of guilt, shame, fear, or even anger. These feelings can be uncomfortable, but they’re not wrong or bad, they are simply information providing the clues necessary to uncover what’s been stored in your subconscious for years.
Think about it: every time you’ve felt stressed about a bill, panicked after looking at your account balance, or guilty for spending on yourself, your body has kept score. That tension doesn’t just disappear, it lingers in your nervous system, quietly shaping how you respond to money even when you’re trying to “think positive.”
- You might notice it as the tightness in your chest when you open your bank app.
- Or the mental fog that shows up when it’s time to talk about your pricing.
- Or that sinking, twisting feeling in your stomach every time you hit “pay now.”
That’s the emotional residue of old money beliefs and clearing it is absolutely essential for you to grow your business from a place of calm and ease not desperation and despair.
Because you can’t create abundance from a place of fear and you can’t welcome financial ease when your body associates money with stress.
Clearing those emotional imprints doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. It means giving yourself permission to feel the stored emotion and finally release it, instead of recycling it again and again.♻️
It’s like finally clearing out a cluttered room that’s been blocking light for years. 🌤️ Once you open the windows and let the fresh air in, everything feels more spacious and you can finally see what’s possible.
That’s what happens when you clear the emotional weight around money. It’s not just about “feeling better” it’s about creating the emotional and energetic space you need to build the financial stability and growth you’ve always wanted.
Step 3. Rewire Your Mind for Abundance
Once you’ve uncovered the root beliefs and released the emotional weight attached to money, your mind🤯 becomes more receptive, open, flexible, and ready to create something new.
*This is where the real transformation happens.*
Think of your subconscious mind like the operating system running quietly in the background of your life. Most people try to install new “apps” like affirmations, new business strategies, or budgeting tools on top of an outdated system. And then they wonder why things keep glitching or crashing.
When you rewire your subconscious, you’re not just layering on top of old beliefs, you’re updating the entire system so it can finally support the version of you that you’re becoming.
This is the work we do inside my R.E.W.I.R.E. (Reveal, Explore, Wire, Integrate, Reinforce & Elevate) Program where the process is about reframing your inner world to match the abundance you want to experience externally.
And because these shifts are created at the subconscious level not just through surface-level mindset work, they begin to take root naturally. You don’t have to force yourself to think positively. You simply start responding differently to situations that used to trigger stress.
You find yourself feeling grounded and calm when it’s time to make a purchase or investment decision. You no longer spiral into self-doubt when your income fluctuates. You begin to trust yourself with money.
Rewiring is about alignment, It’s not about repeating “I’m abundant” a hundred times a day. It’s about rewiring your subconscious at a deep level. You now know and understand at a deep level that success doesn’t mean struggle and that you can hold and manage money without feelings of fear, guilt, or shame.
Because abundance isn’t just about numbers in your bank account, it’s an inner state. It’s the calm assurance that you can create, attract, and sustain what you need. It’s the peace that comes from knowing you are supported, capable, and enough, regardless of the current balance on your bank statements.
This is the power of subconscious reprogramming; you’re not just changing your thoughts; you’re changing your default setting.
✨Once that happens, everything in your business begins to shift.
✅You attract clients with more ease because you’re no longer operating from lack or desperation.
✅You make aligned investments because you trust your intuition and discernment.
✅You stop avoiding your finances because money no longer feels like a threat.
It’s the moment where money becomes what it was always meant to be – a tool, not a source of fear. Something you can use intentionally to grow, give, and create, rather than something that controls you.
When you let go of your old beliefs around money and rewire in new beliefs — it reflects your energy, your alignment, and your openness to receive.
That’s when things start to flow.
That’s when your business starts to expand.
That’s when you finally feel free.
